Teresa Pinto Correia Remains in the EU Soil Mission

Researcher Teresa Pinto Correia, from the University of Évora, maintains her position on the Council of the European Union Soil Mission. The Portuguese scientist continues to be part of this body responsible for the strategic guidance of the European mission dedicated to soils.

The Mission Council is composed of 13 specialists from 10 European countries. This group of experts is responsible for guiding and monitoring the work of the European initiative that aims to protect and restore European soils.

The leadership of the Council has been taken over by Romanian Mihail Dumitru, who succeeds the previous president in the role. This change in the direction of the body comes at an important time for the EU Soil Mission, which aims to ensure healthy soils by 2030.

Teresa Pinto Correia is recognized for her work in soil research, having accumulated experience that allows her to contribute to the objectives of the European Mission from her position on the Council.
