The Liberal Initiative (IL) party demanded the resignation of the Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves. The request was made after the minister guaranteed he will remain in office.
Mariana Leitão, on behalf of IL, argues that Luís Neves' continuity in Government feeds populism instead of combating it, considering therefore that his departure is necessary.
Luís Neves had previously assured that he did not intend to leave the position, thus remaining in the executive.
