Astérix in Lusitania comic book comes out in Mirandese in October

The Mirandese translation of the comic book "Astérix in Lusitania" will be published in October, according to publishing group Leya. The work is by the French authors Fabcaro and Didier Conrad.

Mirandese is a language officially recognized in Portugal, spoken mainly in the region of Miranda do Douro, in the northeast of the country. This translation represents another step in the valorization and dissemination of the Mirandese language in the publishing landscape.

The "Astérix" series is one of the most well-known comics worldwide, with translations in numerous languages. The Mirandese edition joins a vast list of translations that include dialects and minority languages.

Publishing group Leya is responsible for the edition and distribution of the work in Portugal, thus guaranteeing access for Mirandese readers to this story of the famous Gauls.
