OpenAI is buying tens of thousands of Macs from Apple: for what?

Apple is selling tens of thousands of Mac computers to OpenAI, significantly altering the traditional perception of its devices. The Cupertino company has always positioned the Mac mini and Mac Studio as machines primarily intended for content creators, programmers, or small home servers.

OpenAI now emerges as a new and unexpected client that is changing this narrative. The artificial intelligence company is acquiring these devices on a large scale, introducing them into its laboratories.
