The National Police arrested a French citizen at the Beni Enzar border post, on the border between Melilla and Morocco. The man was being sought internationally at the request of the French authorities.

The individual is suspected of being involved in various serious crimes, including kidnapping and sexual assault. In addition to these offenses, he is also accused of extortion linked to drug trafficking and of belonging to a criminal organization.

The arrest occurred when the suspect was attempting to cross the border at the Beni Enzar post, which connects the Spanish enclave of Melilla to Moroccan territory. The National Police were responsible for the operation that led to the capture of the fugitive.
