The Porto Public Transport Company (STCP) launched a free service on WhatsApp, through the number 226 158 158, which allows passengers to know in real time when the next bus arrives. The passenger can indicate the line they want to check, the stop where they are or their location, receiving a prediction in seconds and being able to follow the journey's progress in real time. This tool joins the integration already available on Google Maps, which covers the 2,517 stops on the network and more than 5,000 trips on weekdays, representing an effort by the transport company to adapt communication channels to passengers' digital habits.
