The Spanish government today approved a "shock plan" for Ceuta worth 309 million euros. The plan aims to respond to the migratory and humanitarian crisis affecting the Spanish city in North Africa.
The emergency plan comes in response to the illegal entry of approximately 72,000 people in Ceuta, which has caused a major impact on the local economy and the city's reception capacities.
The investment of 309 million euros will be destined to reinforce resources to manage the migratory situation, as well as to mitigate the economic effects of the humanitarian crisis that has been verified in the region.
