The TVDE sector association has expressed opposition to this measure, considering that the entry of taxis into the sector is "harmful." The association argues that this decision compromises the distinction between the two transport services.

This change represents a significant alteration in the transport market in Portugal, bringing together the two sectors that had previously operated separately.
