Moncofa beach hosted on Tuesday the official constitution of the federation Mar Nostra, a new entity that brings together 16 neighborhood associations from seven municipalities on the coast located between Almassora and Sagunt. The event took place at the home of Doctor Moros and was attended by representatives of the different groups integrated in the federation.
The new federation is led by Santiago Carreguí, from Nules, and its main objective is to defend the beaches in the area and stop coastal regression affecting this region of Castellón. The mobilization brings together associations from various coastal municipalities in a common front to address these problems.
This movement arises in response to the environmental challenges threatening the coast of the province of Castellón, where erosion and sand loss have put numerous beaches in the area at risk. The union of neighborhood associations aims to give greater strength to the claims before the competent authorities.
