Renfe closed the month of August with an improvement in the regularity of its rail services, which represents a significant advance in one of the main challenges of the company in recent months. The operator managed to substantially reduce delays and increase the punctuality of its commercial services.
In terms of punctuality, Renfe recorded a performance about five percentage points higher than the previous year in its commercial services. This improvement represents a positive evolution in the quality of service offered to passengers.
Regarding delay times, the company managed to reduce the average delay to five minutes, a considerably lower value than the nine minutes recorded in August 2025. This decrease of four minutes in the average delay reflects the company's effort to offer a more efficient service.
Renfe itself characterized these results as evidence of a "more regular, reliable and stable" service, suggesting that these improvements represent a positive trend sustained over time and not just a one-off situation.
