Gabriel Mec, 18-year-old Brazilian forward, arrived in Portugal to undergo medical tests and finalize his transfer to Porto. After approval in the medical procedures, the young player will sign a contract and will be officially presented as a new signing of the Portuguese club.

Unveiled by Grêmio, Mec built his formation in the youth academy of the Rio Grande do Sul club. The forward began to attract attention from European clubs even before turning 18 and had been regarded in recent years as one of the main promises of Grêmio's youth academy.

The arrival in Portugal represents the final stage of the negotiation between Grêmio and Porto. With the agreement already in place between the parties, the Brazilian now needs to pass the medical tests before signing the contract with the Portuguese club.
