International Experts Debate Earthquake-Resilient Cities in Portimão

Portimão hosts from September 1 to 5 the workshop «Living with Earthquakes», dedicated to the theme of seismic resilience in urban areas. The event brings together international experts who will discuss strategies to make cities safer in the face of earthquake threats.

The workshop particularly focuses on the relationship between built heritage and seismic risk, addressing the specific challenges of protecting historic buildings in areas vulnerable to earthquakes. The initiative takes place in the Barlavento region, in the Algarve.
