There are 11,113 places available in Portuguese public higher education for the second phase of the national access competition, with applications open until September 20. This phase comes after the conclusion of the first placement phase, which produced results below expectations.
In the first phase, 49,991 students were placed, out of a total of 56,228 available places. However, 4,512 students who were placed did not complete their enrollment, which contributed to the significant increase in the number of places now available for the second phase.
Among the courses with the most unfilled places are Computer Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Bragança, with 74 places, and at the Polytechnic of Castelo Branco, with 71 places. Renewable Energy Engineering in Bragança is also among the courses with the highest number of available places.
