Vitória Sport Clube announced the signing of Babacar Welle Tendeng, an 18-year-old forward from Gavà, in Catalonia, who will join the B team of the Minho club. The young player signed a professional contract valid until 2030.
Babacar arrives in Guimarães after a spell at Villarreal CF, where he registered rapid evolution in his career. The player made his debut in the UEFA Youth League at 17 years old, on February 4th, already demonstrating international potential in a European reference competition.
The young forward expressed himself motivated with this new stage, stating he is expectant and very happy to join Vitória. Babacar emphasized that the most important thing for him is to contribute to collective success, not setting personal goals for goals scored, and described himself as someone of humble origins and focused on the collective.
The player believes he is up to the challenge ahead and intends to make history at the club, helping Vitória achieve its objectives. Babacar also expressed gratitude for the opportunity granted to him.
