PSOE asked the judge of the National Court, Santiago Pedraz, to proceed with the "purge" of its banking data in the context of the Leire case. The socialists want all data that is not strictly necessary for the investigation to be deleted or protected.
The party argues that its banking data that does not have a direct relationship with the actions related to the alleged coercion of investigators of cases against the party or against people linked to it should not be accessible to the parties in the proceedings.
The Leire case investigates alleged coercion of investigators of court cases related to PSOE or people close to the party. Judge Santiago Pedraz is responsible for supervising this investigation at the National Court.
With this request, PSOE aims to limit the exposure of its financial data, ensuring that only information that is strictly relevant to the facts being investigated is used in the investigation.
