The national director of the Public Security Police (PSP), chief superintendent Luís Carrilho, stated today that "security is a shared responsibility", during the solemn session commemorating the 148th anniversary of the PSP Regional Command of Madeira. The event took place at the Madeira Press Museum, in Câmara de Lobos.
In his speech, Luís Carrilho highlighted the importance of coordination between the PSP, the regional administration and the municipalities as a fundamental factor in ensuring security in the region.
The official also referred to the specific characteristics of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, marked by insularity and strong tourist dynamics, factors that require even closer coordination between the different entities responsible for public security.
