Calese Crowder, 39, was arrested last Friday (8/28) in Glendale, California, after being caught acting suspiciously in two commercial establishments. Employees at the Marshalls chain and a supermarket called police to report a man who crouched near customers to allegedly sniff them. Authorities reviewed surveillance footage, identified the suspect, and detained him nearby for probation violation.
Calese is a registered sex offender and has a history of unusual behavior. In 2023, he gained notoriety on social media as a serial "butt sniffer," after a year off the radar.
In July 2025, he had already been arrested at the Nordstrom Rack store in Burbank for following a woman and crouching behind her to smell her. Calese's habit is recurring and has once again claimed victims in the United States.
