According to journalist Nicolò Schira, a market specialist, the Roman club will offer a two-year contract to Mauro Icardi to sign him on a free transfer.
Mauro Icardi is a well-known name to Benfica fans, as the Argentine forward was linked to Benfica during this transfer window. The 33-year-old striker recently ended his contract with Galatasaray, in Turkey, and became a free agent.
However, Icardi intends to evaluate other options before making a definitive decision. The former Galatasaray striker gives priority to proposals from clubs that are in the Champions League, which is not the case for Lazio, which could make the negotiation more difficult.
