Revolut launches AI assistant in the European market

SAPO Notícias1 September 2026 at 10:14

Revolut, the digital bank, announced on Tuesday the launch of its artificial intelligence assistant, called AIR, in the European market. The launch will be carried out in a phased manner, meaning it will not be available to all users immediately.

The AIR assistant was developed by Revolut itself and aims to offer customers a faster and more intuitive way to interact with the digital bank's services. This initiative positions the company in the growing segment of financial institutions that incorporate artificial intelligence into their platforms.

In terms of privacy, Revolut guaranteed that it does not retain user data for the purpose of sharing with third parties, nor for training external artificial intelligence models. This guarantee comes in a context of growing concern among European consumers regarding the protection of their personal data.

With this launch, Revolut joins other companies in the financial sector that are investing in AI technology to improve customer experience and optimize their services. The phased implementation will allow the company to test and adjust the assistant before making it available more broadly.

The new version also offers better support for scientific work, including designing experiments, simulating results, and interpreting complex diagrams and tables. Anthropic claims the improvements were made in response to customer feedback, at a time when companies are seeking to justify and control the costs of using artificial intelligence.
