Just one email is enough to open the door: threat grows in industrial systems and Southern Europe is on the front line

According to the latest Kaspersky ICS CERT report, 8.76% of computers with industrial control systems (ICS) in Southern Europe blocked malicious scripts and phishing pages between April and June, the highest percentage among all regions analyzed.

The threat to industrial systems is growing, and cybercriminals are exploiting increasingly sophisticated methods to access these critical infrastructures. A simple email can be enough to open the door to attacks targeting industrial control systems.

The Kaspersky ICS CERT report reveals that Southern Europe is on the front line of this threat, leading the statistics for blocking phishing attempts and malicious scripts directed at computers with ICS systems during the second quarter of the year.

SAS completes Starlink installation across entire Airbus A320neo fleet
