Beyond the shows: the professionals who make Rock in Rio happen before the public arrives

When the gates of Cidade do Rock open on Friday (4), a crowd will rush to secure the best spots at Rock in Rio. But for the public to find everything in order, hundreds of professionals begin working months before the event.

While shows by names like Elton John, Foo Fighters, and Gilberto Gil are going on, the festival kitchens will be just as bustling as the stages. This year, the Gourmet Square gains the curation of chef Pedro Siqueira, from Sisì Pizza, elected the 72nd best pizzaiolo in the world by The Best Pizza Awards 2025.

In his debut as curator, chef Pedro Siqueira, who had previously participated in the previous edition as an operator, says that one of his main concerns is maintaining food quality even with the high demand during the festival's shows.
