Revolut announced the launch in Europe, including Portugal, of the AI artificial intelligence assistant AIR (AI by Revolut), a new tool integrated into the application that covers personal finance management, investments, and travel planning. The fintech company, which has more than 80 million clients globally, revealed that the assistant will go live today in phases, with the goal of replacing traditional menu navigation with a single conversational interface.
AIR allows users to check details on daily expenses, monitor the performance of investment portfolios, and manage subscriptions. In the payments area, the functionality also enables the execution of direct commands, such as immediately blocking lost cards. Within travel services, the system generates personalized itineraries, suggests accommodation options according to the defined budget, and allows direct redemption of loyalty program points for products such as eSIM mobile data and airport lounge access.
In terms of privacy, the tech company ensures that AIR operates under a strict zero data retention policy, guaranteeing that user information is not stored by external partners nor used for training third-party artificial intelligence models. Julia Ponomareva, Head of AI Product and Customer Experience at Revolut, stated that the launch marks the end of navigation through "infinite tabs and menus," simplifying daily financial management without compromising user privacy.
The new feature is already accessible to customers in the application through the conversations menu.
