Unemployment: Portugal below the euro area rate in July

Portugal recorded an unemployment rate of 5.7% in July, a value lower than the 5.8% recorded in the same month of 2025. This rate places Portugal below the euro area average. In the context of the European Union, the number of unemployed stood at 13.516 million people, which represents 296 thousand more people than in July 2025.
