However, the Public Prosecutor's Office faces a situation of great weakness. The structure remains dangerously weakened, which threatens the effective functioning of the judicial machinery.

The return to court activities thus occurs in a context of alert regarding the capacity of the Public Prosecutor's Office to respond to pending cases and new cases that will be filed.

Tomar receives 200 thousand euros for dredging and cleaning of the Nabão river

The Câmara de Tomar will receive 200 thousand euros from the Environmental Fund for dredging of the urban section of the Nabão river and cleaning upstream and downstream of the city. The support is part of approximately 4.2 million euros in additional funds mobilized by the Government to recover territories affected by the severe weather in January and February, of which almost 3.2 million will be destined for interventions in watercourses. The mayor, Hugo Cristóvão, highlighted that this funding will allow resolving historical sedimentation problems that affected the city.
