The association AO NORTE recently received public utility status, an acknowledgment of the work it has developed for over three decades. The organization was founded in December 1994 and operates as a non-profit association.
Over the last 30 years, AO NORTE has dedicated its activity to the promotion, production and dissemination of cinema, audiovisual, photography and visual arts. These cultural areas constitute the central nucleus of its work.
In addition to its work in the arts and audiovisual, the association also develops projects in the areas of education, culture and global citizenship. This diversified intervention demonstrates the broad scope of the organization beyond cultural production.
The public utility status thus represents a formal acknowledgment of the work developed by AO NORTE over the years for the benefit of the community and the promotion of cultural and artistic endeavors.
