Nearly 4,500 people remain missing after a glacier collapsed in the Himalayas, on the border between China and Nepal. The phenomenon caused a wall of icy water, mud and debris similar to a tsunami and left more than a thousand dead. Among the missing, about 4,000 were in Nepal, including nearly 600 foreigners.
In the Nepalese capital, families of missing people after Wednesday's floods spread photographs in hospitals in an attempt to find any sign of relatives. At the university hospital of Tribhuvan University, images of Nepalese and foreigners of different ages cover a wall 25 meters long and were also posted on the external columns.
Prakash Chhetri, 46, posted a photo on the wall seeking news about his missing relative.
