Two dead resulted from a collision between a heavy vehicle and a light vehicle, which occurred last night on the IC8 road, in the municipality of Ansião. The accident also caused two seriously injured.
The collision happened in the municipality of Ansião, located in the district of Leiria. The competent authorities were called to the scene of the accident to carry out rescue operations and investigate the circumstances that led to the collision.
The victims were assisted by the emergency services that went to the scene. The IC8 road, which connects several towns in the central region of the country, was closed to traffic during the rescue and road clearing operations.
