The Sintra Music Conservatory will strengthen its artistic training offer with the launch in September of two new Theatre courses for children and young people aged 6 to 15. The new offer includes the Theatre Workshop and Dramatic Games, aimed at children aged 6 to 11, and the Free Theatre Course, for young people between 12 and 15 years old. The first classes will be open and free, allowing interested parties to try out the activities before formalizing enrollment.
The experimental classes of the Theatre Workshop and Dramatic Games will take place on September 11 and 18, while the Free Theatre Course will have open sessions on September 7, 8, 14 and 15. The courses aim to promote the development of communication, creativity and confidence through theatrical practice, providing participants with a space for exploration, experimentation and personal expression.
Throughout the sessions, theatrical games, improvisation exercises and moments of collective creation will be carried out, through which children and young people can explore imagination, express ideas and emotions and develop skills such as self-esteem and the ability to work in groups. According to the Conservatory's Direction, Theatre classes constitute a space where children and young people can experiment, create and gain confidence to communicate with others.
Both courses will become part of the regular programming of the Sintra Music Conservatory and will culminate with a public presentation at the end of the school year, where participants will be able to showcase the work developed throughout the training.
