Albufeira crowns champions of the Summer Sports beach volleyball

Pescadores Beach in Albufeira hosted on Sunday, August 30, the beach volleyball final of the Albufeira Summer Sports 2026, which brought together the best pairs qualified through three stages held in July and August. The day was marked by high temperatures, competitiveness, and sporting spirit among the participants.

In the men's division, Fábio Silva and André Simões took first place, confirming the performance demonstrated throughout the competition. Damien Clairbois and Miguel Rozales finished in second position, while Diogo Mourinho and Gabriel Brás completed the podium in third position.

In the women's event, Valentina Princic and Giada Ripa won, with Laura Silva and Vitória Tavares in second place and Ruslana Dmytruk and Mariana Sequeira in third position. The award ceremony was attended by the Vice-President of the Albufeira City Council, Jorge Carmo.

The final closed the beach volleyball calendar of the Albufeira Summer Sports 2026, a municipal initiative integrated into the programming of Albufeira – European City of Sport 2026, dedicated to promoting different sports in the public and beach spaces of the municipality during the summer months.
