Health is the main concern of one in every five Brazilians, according to a Datafolha survey conducted in March. In the context of elections, specialists have sought to point out ways to strengthen the country's public health system, on which 75% of the population depends exclusively.
The Institute for Health Policy Studies (IEPS), in partnership with the civil organization Umane and with the support of 13 other civil society organizations, released the Agenda Mais SUS 2027-2030, a document with ten proposals for the next federal and state governments.
Among the initiatives, experts advocate restricting advertising of online gambling and betting, similar to what was done with tobacco, in addition to banning those of highest risk. The document mentions that 11 million Brazilians have been classified as problem gamblers of online betting.
