Rio de Janeiro received R$ 93 million in corporate social investment in 2025, according to a survey by Comunitas in the annual Bisc research (Benchmarking of Corporate Social Investment). The value represents the destination of resources allocated to social projects by companies headquartered in the state.
According to Firjan, 97% of companies headquartered in Rio de Janeiro adopt ESG criteria, the acronym in English for environmental, social, and governance practices, which encompass corporate commitment to impact on society and the environment.
The environmental agenda leads resource allocation among companies, while initiatives focused on the social pillar rank 12th in priorities. Nevertheless, the social dimension grew 24 percentage points according to the 2025 research, indicating a trend of growth in corporate social actions.
