Unimark, a Portuguese cooperative of wholesalers and retailers, expects to reach 20 million euros in sales through its own UP brand by the end of the year, driven by product range diversification and the strengthening of the brand's categories. The brand's portfolio, made up of several hundred references, is expected to grow by 10% to around 750 by the end of this year, in a brand expansion movement focused on food retail.
Carla Esteves, executive director of Unimark, stated that the group began this year with a clear ambition for growth and with results that demonstrate the confidence consumers and retailers place in UP. The cooperative states that this evolution reflects the sustained growth of the brand and the strengthening of its presence across different product categories, supported by an increasingly comprehensive offering, product quality and competitive prices.
Unimark was created in 1996 and currently brings together 19 companies, 40 cash & carry stores and has approximately 1,500 supermarkets and minimarkets as associates.
