The IC8 was reopened to traffic after a collision that caused two dead and three seriously injured. The road had been closed following the accident.

The accident occurred in the municipality of Ansião, in the district of Leiria. Authorities were still working at the scene around 05:00, with 15 operatives supported by eight ground resources.

Authorities did not reveal further details about the circumstances of the accident or the identity of the victims.
