The Júcar Hydrographic Confederation (CHJ) will invest 880,000 euros in the province of Castellón during the coming months to carry out conservation and adaptation work on river channels before the rainy season. This amount will be specifically destined to preparing the riverbeds to face possible torrential rainfall.
The planned interventions complement the work already carried out in recent months, both by the basin organization and by the municipalities in the region. These preparation actions were considered necessary given the possibility of torrential rains in the area.
The CHJ is the organization responsible for managing the Júcar river basin, which covers territories in the Valencian Community. The investment comes as a preventive measure to minimize flood risks during the rainy season.
