Seven out of every ten families in the province of Castellón have children who participate in extracurricular activities, according to a report by the Union of Consumers of Spain in the Valencian Community. Students in this province will return to school on September 9th and, with the start of the school year, extracurricular activities and educational reinforcement programs are also reactivated.
The average monthly budget allocated to these activities ranges between 50 and 100 euros per family. This expense, accumulated over the months of the school year, can reach up to 900 euros annually, which notably increases the total cost of their children's education.
The UCE report highlights the economic impact that extracurricular activities represent for families in Castellón, an expense that adds to the rest of the costs associated with the start of the school year.
