Robberies in general had their seventh consecutive drop in July 2026 in São Paulo's capital. There were 6,883 robberies recorded in the month, compared to 8,601 in July 2025, representing a 20% drop. The number was the lowest recorded for the month since 2001, at the beginning of the historical series.
Among the ten police stations in the city with the most reported cases, two stood out for registering an increase in the number of robberies compared to the same month last year. The police districts of Consolação and Cidade Monções, in the South Zone, were the exceptions to the downward trend.
At the Consolação police station, there was an increase of almost 45% in reports, going from 123 to 178 cases. In the police station located on Avenida Luís Carlos Berrini, the growth was even greater, at 55%, going from 140 cases in July 2025 to 217 this year.
Capão Redondo remained the neighborhood with the most robberies in the capital in July, with 223 cases, even with a 38% drop compared to the same month last year. Santo Amaro, also in the South Zone, registered an 18% drop in robberies.
