The artificial intelligence monitoring platform of the State Secretariat of Public Security of Paraná (Sesp), which integrates the actions of the Civil and Military Police, assisted in solving 1,885 cases throughout the State since the beginning of its operation in December 2025. The data was presented by the Secretary of Public Security, Colonel Hudson Leôncio Teixeira, and shows that the tool also contributed to 1,300 arrests and the recovery of 557 vehicles.
A survey by LCA Consultoria compared two of the main technology programs for public security in the country — that of Paraná and that of the city of São Paulo. Per camera installed, the Paraná system delivers 21 times more results in capturing fugitives, 43 times more in arrests in the act, and 108 times more in vehicle recovery.
The Paraná program operates with 972 proprietary cameras, compared to 20 thousand cameras in the capital of São Paulo. The technology connects camera images to artificial intelligence, functioning as a real-time recognition and analysis system to assist security agents in combating crime.
