The young Portuguese man Nuno Gandum is undertaking a cycling journey across Europe, departing from Copenhagen, Denmark, heading to Lisbon. The adventure, which is expected to total around 8,000 kilometres, is being made from north to south of the European continent.
The main objective of this journey is to raise funds to support Rewilding Portugal, an organization dedicated to rewilding and nature conservation in Portugal. Nuno Gandum chose this cause as the motto for his expedition.
Just a few days after the start of the journey, Nuno had already exceeded 1,000 kilometres covered and was preparing to leave Denmark, continuing his route towards southern Europe. The journey is being made in a way that prioritizes contact with local communities and proximity to the landscapes he crosses.
