The defense of former President Jair Bolsonaro filed on Monday a request to Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), requesting authorization for in-laws and sisters-in-law to remain at his residence during the periods when former First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro is absent. The request was presented within the context of Bolsonaro's criminal enforcement, which he serves under house arrest.
Michelle Bolsonaro is a candidate for the Senate for the Federal District with the PL party and, during the campaign, frequently remains away from home. The defense argues that the measure is necessary to guarantee the presence of close family members at the former president's residence.
The request specifically requests authorization for four family members: the in-laws Vicente de Paulo Reinaldo and Maisa Torres Antunes, and the sisters-in-law Geovanna Kathleen Ferreira Lima and Suyane Lanuze Ferreira Lima. According to the lawyers, the presence of these family members is important to ensure companionship and support for the former president when his wife is not present at the location.
