The defense of former President Jair Bolsonaro asked Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Federal Court, for authorization to reintegrate into his team two former advisors who were investigated in the Covid-19 vaccination card fraud case. The lawyers want Sérgio Rocha Cordeiro and Max Guilherme Machado de Moura to return to the list of staff who perform routine activities at the former president's residence.
The two worked as Bolsonaro's advisors during his term in the Presidency of the Republic and remained on the team destined to provide support to the former president after he left the Palacio do Planalto. They were removed, however, after becoming investigated in the inquiry that investigated the insertion of false vaccination data.
In the request presented to Moraes, the defense argues that the legal situation of the two changed because, in June of this year, the Federal Public Ministry requested the dismissal of the case. With this, the lawyers argue that there is no longer reason for the maintenance of the removal of the two assistants.
