The Regional Government of the Azores announced that it fully met all milestones of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) on the last day of the material execution deadline. This guarantee was confirmed as the period established for the completion of the set targets ended.
According to the regional executive, the Azores managed to capture more than 221 million euros than initially planned under the PRR. This value represents a significant excess in relation to the original projections of the plan for the region.
The full compliance with the PRR milestones means that the region managed to execute all projects and reforms provided for in the plan within the established deadline, thus avoiding the loss of European funds destined for economic recovery.
The announcement by the Regional Government comes at a critical time, given that the material execution deadline was ending that day, underscoring the importance of efficient management of European funds by the Azorean executive.
