FC Porto officially announced the signing of Souza as a reinforcement for the left-back position until the end of the season. The player arrives on loan from Tottenham, the club to which he was previously linked.
The loan does not include any purchase option, which means Souza should return to Tottenham when the loan period with the dragons ends.
This signing comes at a time when FC Porto is looking to strengthen their defensive sector, particularly at the left-back position, where they wanted more competition in the squad.
Souza, of Brazilian nationality, thus joins the pool of available players for the remainder of the season, and is expected to be an asset for the team managed by Sérgio Conceição.
