Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on a telephone conversation he classified as "detailed and constructive" with representatives of Donald Trump's administration.
The conversation took place with Steve Witkoff, the United States Special Envoy, and Jared Kushner, a White House adviser, both close to the former American President.
The contact occurred following a lightning visit to Moscow by CIA Director John Ratcliffe, which is believed to have weighed on the diplomatic dynamics surrounding the conflict in Ukraine.
Zelensky's communication comes at a time of intense negotiations over a possible ceasefire agreement, with the United States assuming a central role in mediation between Kyiv and Moscow.
