There is more than one group stealing luxury watches in Lisbon. The authorities have identified that there are different modus operandi among the criminals who commit these crimes in the city.
Some groups use snatch theft, which consists of ripping the watches from victims quickly and violently. Other groups use firearms to carry out the robberies, representing an even greater threat to victims.
SIC spoke with a victim of a snatch theft who was robbed in the center of the city of Lisbon. The victim's testimony illustrates the personal impact of these crimes on people's lives.
