Renan Santos, candidate of the Missão party for the presidency of the Republic, classified as "illegal" the decision by Justice Dias Toffoli, of the Supreme Federal Court, that suspended his participation in electoral debates and banned the use of electoral fund resources. The ruling was made this Monday (31).
According to Justice Toffoli, Renan's Santos campaign used irregular profiles on social media during the electoral campaign. Toffoli wrote that the Missão party only reported the existence of 16 channels on social media twelve days after the candidacy registration, which according to him would violate electoral legislation and court resolutions that determine the obligation to report all profiles at the time of registration.
The candidate released a video speaking about the ruling and called the delay in reporting the profiles on social media a "technical problem". In the interview conducted by TV Globo, Renan Santos also spoke about a state of exception against criminality and criticized the end of the 6x1 work schedule.
