Mexican striker Santiago Giménez is FC Porto's latest signing, arriving on loan from AC Milan until the end of the season. The dragões, reigning Portuguese champions, today made the signing of the player official.
The deal includes a definitive purchase clause set at 18 million euros, meaning FC Porto may keep the player on a permanent basis after the loan period.
Santiago Giménez, 23 years old, arrives in Portuguese football from the Italian club, where he failed to establish himself as he had hoped. The operation allows the Mexican to have more playing time in a league he knows well.
With this signing, FC Porto reinforces the attacking sector for the second half of the season, hoping that Giménez can contribute to the competitions in which the dragões are still involved.
