A First Alert Dispatch was issued for a rural fire in the Greater Porto area. The alert covers the parishes of Gondomar, Gondomar (São Cosme), Valbom and Jovim, all belonging to the municipality of Gondomar, in the district of Porto.
The fire, of a rural nature (brush/vegetation), prompted the activation of Civil Protection resources. Four operatives and one ground vehicle were mobilized to the scene, with no aerial resources requested in the dispatch.
This type of First Alert Dispatch is an operational procedure that allows for the rapid mobilization of resources when a situation requires an immediate response from emergency authorities.
