Auriol Dongmo won the gold medal in the shot put competition during the 2026 Mediterranean Games held in Taranto. The athlete managed to set a new Mediterranean Games record with her performance.
Jessica Inchude finished the same event in second place, thus securing the silver for Portugal in this athletics discipline.
The event took place in the Italian city of Taranto and brought together athletes from various countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea, in an edition of the Games that featured multiple sports.
