Carris expects to inaugurate the new Elevador da Glória in 2029, according to the deputy of Carlos Moedas. The Lisbon public transport company intends to launch the public tender for the works in the first quarter of 2027, marking an important step towards the project's completion.

Carlos Moedas' deputy promised that the city council will be "very vigilant" regarding compliance with the established schedule. Carris guaranteed that it is working to ensure that the 2029 target is effectively met.

However, the company admitted that the schedule for the future solution is subject to potential "vicissitudes", meaning possible difficulties or unforeseen events that may arise during the execution process of the works.
