FC Porto are said to have reached 11 million euros for the Dutch defender Bart Bijloo, known as Baas. The 22-year-old player had been linked to the Dragons since the start of the transfer window, and the final agreed value represents a significant increase compared to the first offer made by the Portuguese club.
Ajax also showed interest in Baas but ultimately did not submit a proposal for the defender. Simultaneously, the Dutch club expressed interest in Borja Sainz, the Spanish winger who represents the Dragons. However, FC Porto are not available to negotiate the player.
Borja Sainz arrived at FC Porto last summer and has been an important piece in the team's attack. His regular use in the first team makes any loan move unlikely, especially at a decisive stage of the season.
FC Porto remain active in the transfer market, seeking to strengthen their squad for the competitions still in dispute. The Dragons demonstrate intention to invest in young players with growth potential, as is the case with Baas.
